A picture's worth a thousand words

So apparently in the blogging lull I had I should have posted some of the many pictures I had on my camera. In the move I got rid of the two sweaters I wore to the short lived but much beloved ugly sweater party. I will post those at some point this week. I also apparently took a picture of the map of the Walk for Hunger with all my stamps on it (probably to show all of you who so generously supported me). Finally there's such a cute picture of one of the signs from the sushi birthday party I had this year. Since I've already blogged about that party, I'll put that picture below.

Suzib made the signs this one was on green paper to show that it was vegetarian and had a big star to warn those with nut allergies to stay away!! They were so good.

Really though, the reason I started this whole post was to announce the newest addition to my family. I mentioned the elephant lamp in a previous post (I finally downloaded his picture)

Today we added a beautiful red chicken. I bought a red hen roaster. It was on an incredible sale at Williams Sonoma ($30 cheaper than the cheapest one I could find online and being cast iron it was even more of a deal because shipping can be a killer on something like that).

Isn't she pretty? As soon as it cools down I am totally making stew, roasts etc. once a week so she gets all the use she deserves!!
