Don't Get Excited, It's Not Much of a Post

So I haven't written here in quite some time. It's not just because I lead such a boring life that it's not worth blogging about. It's mostly because my boring life has been pretty crazed lately (doesn't everyone say the same thing).

Just because I haven't actually written in what seems like years. It doesn't mean that I haven't kept reading. In fact, I have added some blogs to my reading. One of those blogs is http://www.dooce.com/ While I don't necessarily agree with everything she says, she usually says it in such an entertaining manner that it doesn't matter (as David Sedaris once said, funny trumps everything -- ok he didn't say that exactly but it was something like that and no, you won't find anywhere where he wrote it because he said it in a lecture at Symphony Hall, which makes it even more difficult for you to prove that I am lying). Anyway, on dooce's website she has something called daily style. Usually I am firmly in the unstylish camp and so for quite some time I didn't even look at that part of her blog. But I got bored and I caved. On that section of her blog she features home decor, clothing, accessories and other stylish things (that's the technical term). She usually has some interesting caption to go along with a nice picture of the utterly cool item in question.

Today, I was hoping to have a "daily style" of my own for my blog. Yesterday Megs gave me a bracelet featuring the saints (in particular I think she said it's supposed to be Our Lady of Lourdes). No, I am not particular to saints. I don't pray to them. I don't actually know much about them at all. The point IS this is the kitschiest piece of jewelry I own and I love it. I love the faux rosewood. I love the lacquered on pictures. I just love it. Also, talk about miracles. When it's on my wrist it is impossible to photograph oh sure some of you may say it has something to do with the above mentioned lacquer, but deep down I think we all know it's closer to a miracle. I felt like wonder woman when I had it on and couldn't focus the camera b/c of the shine. Perhaps I can't deflect bullets but I could certainly blind someone. . . Because the camera couldn't take a picture on my wrist, I took one off my wrist but then I couldn't find the equipment to download the picture to my computer and then it was time to go to work so, as I said in the beginning, this isn't a post to get excited about. I will, however, post a picture I found online of a similar bracelet, so as not to disappoint my loyal readers.
